Meet Tara Reed.

Tara Reed is an illustrator and surface designer based in Raleigh, North Carolina. She combines vibrant and bold color pairings with simple yet satisfying illustrations. 

What’s your Artist Statement?

My work is all about color and how those colors are used - bright, bold, and vibrant with a carefree simplicity. Most of my art portrays nature, animals, flowers, food, and women. I love portraying women as strong powerhouses. I care deeply about inclusion, diversity, highlighting the importance of mental health, and lifting others - especially women- up.

Why JIGGY?

I strongly believe in women supporting women. I love that Jiggy is a female owned business and that they care about highlighting independent female artists.

What are you most excited about in becoming a JIGGY Studio artist?

I have always loved puzzles and it's an absolute dream to finally see my work on one!

What’s your puzzle strategy and ritual?

Definitely wine! maybe an old episode of Murder She Wrote in the background.

If you could collaborate with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?!

Currently, it would have to be Lina Iris Viktor!
