Meet Shea O'Connor.

Shea O’Connor is an illustrator and graphic designer hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. She combines traditional skills with digital media to create vibrant, whimsical worlds and brings a sense of delight and polish to every project.

What’s your Artist Statement?

Using unique color palettes, expressive linework and stylized silhouettes, Shea’s designs primarily feature the female figure and botanicals, and convey a positive, inclusive message. The tone of her art is feminine, polished, elegant and color-driven. The art is primarily informed by feminism, social equality and cultural diversity, and weaves together a vintage style with modern values.

Why JIGGY?

I've been a JIGGY fangirl for several years now and a puzzler for all of my life. From JIGGY's carefully curated artists to high quality puzzles, it's a creative company that I'm delighted to partner with.

What are you most excited about in becoming a JIGGY Studio artist?

I'm starry-eyed at the prospect of my art being seen by folks I've never met! What an honor to have people choose to spend time with my art, and to join the creative community of artists that JIGGY has curated.

What’s your puzzle strategy and ritual?

Some good tunes or a beloved film are a must. A glass (or two) of wine or cup of tea is definitely a bonus! I have a strict puzzling policy of flipping all of the pieces first, separating the edges from the interior pieces. Then, I like to create my border. I try not to reference the box much, but that's just me. You do you to bring your own puzzling dreams come true!

If you could collaborate with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?!

No way I can possibly name one! I would absolutely lose it if I could collaborate with Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun, Botticelli, Al Hirschfeld or Mary Blair.

Who's your dream guest for a dinner & puzzle party?

Professor Dumbledore seems like he'd be great fun
