Studio Series: Meet Rebecca Woolbright
Meet Rebecca Woolbright.
Hello, my name is Rebecca. I live in the Columbia River Gorge between Oregon and Washington. I am inspired by the outdoors, amazing color combos, travel, and my kiddos. When not creating, I race outrigger canoes and find the water time to be so cleansing.
What’s your Artist Statement?
My artistic career is long and winding. My best friend's family growing up owned a stationery store in a small town in California. Those pens and paper stuck with me all my life. I have always been drawn to color, fun patterns and great packaging. When I learned what surface pattern design was, my mind was blown. I love to create art for products that spark joy and are useful every day!
Why JIGGY?
I love all the colorful puzzles Jiggy puts into the world. I am obsessed with the packaging and puzzles are so fun, especially when you live in the rainy PNW!
What are you most excited about in becoming a JIGGY Studio artist?
I am so thrilled for this opportunity. I have loved all the colorful puzzles put into the world by Jiggy and to be a studio artist seems so awesome.
What’s your puzzle strategy and ritual?
Clear the workspace! Layout all the pieces, print side up. Sort the edge pieces and create a frame. If you see an obvious match- put it together and move it to the side. Give yourself patience and time, good puzzles clear your mind and give you a little challenge!
If you could collaborate with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?!
Friedrich Hundertwasser
Who's your dream guest for a dinner & puzzle party?
Celeste Barber
