Meet Elaine Lee.

Elaine Lee is a Canadian illustrator and pattern designer based in London, United Kingdom. When not drawing, you can find her tending to her growing family of houseplants, learning a new creative skill, and staying up well past her bedtime getting lost in books. While she enjoys drawing everyday scenes, florals, and plants, she loves to add small, delightful details that make her illustrations a little more special!

Why JIGGY?

I want to work with JIGGY because I love that it is female-run, and supports the work of many talented, emerging female artists. I love the idea that puzzles are not only a form of meditative entertainment, but can be used as decoration afterwards. JIGGY creates beautiful products with fresh designs and illustrations styles that would look amazing framed and hung on the walls at home.

What are you most excited about in becoming a JIGGY Studio artist?

I am really excited to be included in the latest launch of JIGGY Studios because my work will be alongside many talented artists that I have been following and admiring over the years. I love the idea that my illustrations will provide people with entertainment but can also be hung up in their home after the puzzles are completed.

What’s your puzzle strategy and ritual?

My puzzling routine includes putting on a podcast (my favourite is Ologies by Allie Ward), doing the edges first, and then sorting the pieces by colour and area before tackling the rest!

If you could collaborate with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?!

I would love to collaborate with Dylan Mierzwinski. She is a fellow illustrator and pattern designer and I'm a little nervous she will see this and be weirded out by me saying this (she doesn’t know me at all though)!

Who's your dream guest for a dinner & puzzle party?

My closest friends, who all live in different cities at the moment!

Where can people find you?
