About the Artist

Sarana Haeata is a Māori-Australian artist, muralist, and ceramicist, and the visionary behind the creative design studio, Aslan Ruby. Sarana is passionate about socioeconomic equality, diversity, and gender and racial representation. These themes are visible in her work. She is especially passionate about Indigenous cultural representation and mental health support for mothers. She lives in Australia with her husband, four daughters, and dog, Bingo.
