Tatjana Mai-Wyss is an illustrator and designer who combines her lifelong love for reading and drawing into images that tell a story. Tatjana is known for her engaging and diverse characters, loving attention to detail, and joyful color palette. She usually paints with watercolor, gouache, and colored pencils, sometimes combined with digital media. Her work is informed and inspired by her Swiss childhood, folk art, fairy tales, travel, a love of history and time-worn surfaces, vintage children’s books and ephemera, the natural world, dreams of the ocean, and sunny South Carolina where she lives today with her family. Tatjana’s work has appeared in the US and abroad in books, magazines and greeting cards.
